IFNY NextGen

IFNY NextGen, formerly known as IFNY Emerging Leaders, is a division of the Insurance Federation of New York (IFNY) dedicated to connecting, developing, and empowering the next generation of professionals across the insurance and reinsurance industries. Rebranded in 2026, NextGen builds upon the strong foundation established by IFNY Emerging Leaders while reflecting the evolving needs, aspirations, and diversity of today’s insurance workforce.

Originally created to bring together a diverse group of young professionals from all facets of the insurance and reinsurance sectors, NextGen continues the mission of engaging and developing talented emerging leaders who will shape the future of the industry. IFNY established this initiative to support the growth of New York’s insurance marketplace and address the changing demographics of the industry’s workforce.

Since 1913, IFNY has been recognized as a premier insurance industry organization for its commitment to strengthening New York’s position as the world’s leading insurance market while promoting free enterprise and public service. Through NextGen, members gain access to extensive resources and unique opportunities to network with and learn from senior executives, regulators, legislators, industry experts, and fellow insurance professionals.

Throughout the year, IFNY NextGen offers networking events, mentoring opportunities, educational programs, leadership development initiatives, and charitable activities. Members also have the opportunity to participate in IFNY’s signature events, including the popular “Breakfast With…” series, the Annual Fall Cocktail Reception, and the Annual Award Luncheon.
