Vice President, QBE North America
Lance J. Albright is Vice President of Claims Relationship Management for QBE’s Commercial and Program business units. QBE North America, headquartered in New York City, is licensed to operate in all 50 states and is a division of QBE Insurance Group Ltd., Australia’s largest international general insurance and reinsurance group and one of the top 25 insurers and reinsurers worldwide.
Prior to joining QBE, Mr. Albright served as Vice President and General Manager of the Legal Solutions Division at Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), the world’s third-largest software and IT consulting and services firm at the time.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Albright was Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of The Yasuda Fire & Marine Insurance Company of America. In that role, he oversaw Interdepartmental Operations and served as a member of Yasuda’s Board of Directors.
Mr. Albright began his insurance career with The Hartford Insurance Company in New York City as a field claims adjuster. He later transitioned to international insurance with AFIA Worldwide Insurance, where he managed international claims operations. He then spent four years with The Home Insurance Company in New York City, serving as Home Office Branch Claims Manager for the Western Region and Canada.
Mr. Albright holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Seton Hall University. He has earned the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation and holds an Associate in Risk Management (ARM).
He is an active member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel; the Defense Research Institute’s International Law Committee; and AIDA, the International Insurance Law Society (U.S. Chapter). He serves on the board of the New York City Chapter of the Society of CPCU, is a Fellow of the Claims & Litigation Management Alliance (CLM), and is Vice President of the New York City Chapter of CLM.
Mr. Albright resides in New Providence, New Jersey, with his two daughters, Kristen and Blair.
