An Evening with… Thomas Workman
The Insurance Federation of New York is pleased to welcome Thomas E. Workman for an Evening With… conversation.
Mr. Workman brings decades of distinguished experience at the intersection of insurance regulation, public policy, and industry leadership. Most recently, he served as the Independent Member with Insurance Expertise on the Financial Stability Oversight Council, a presidential appointment confirmed by the U.S. Senate, where he played a key role in federal oversight of the financial system following the Great Recession.
Prior to his service on the FSOC, Mr. Workman spent 17 years as President and CEO of the Life Insurance Council of New York, serving as the principal voice for the life insurance industry before New York policymakers and regulators. Earlier in his career, he was a partner at Bricker & Eckler LLP, leading its insurance law practice, and served as legislative counsel to insurance trade associations for more than two decades.
With a career spanning law, regulation, government service, and industry governance, Mr. Workman offers a unique and authoritative perspective on the past, present, and future of insurance regulation.
