Steve Acunto is President of Beacon International Group, Inc., a private group of companies in publishing, insurance, and entertainment. Beacon publications include Business Insurance, the acknowledged US leader in risk management and insurance, the 137-year-old Insurance Advocate serving New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, and Commercial Risk (UK), Insure Connect (Italy), Asia Insurance (Singapore), Middle East Insurance (Amman), and WorkCompCentral (USA).

In addition to IFNY, Mr. Acunto currently serves on the boards of several companies and is an active volunteer: he is a Trustee of John Cabot University of Rome and Trustee Emeritus, the University of Mount St. Vincent. He is a Trustee of Palm Beach Opera and a Governor of the Union League Club of New York.

Mr. Acunto, who served as Hon. Vice Consul, Republic of Italy, from 2002 to 2017, was awarded the title Commendatore, Order of Merit, Republic of Italy. In 2010, he received the Star of Italy, its highest award for service.

Mr. Acunto holds his B.A. and M.A. degrees in classical philology from New York University.
