IFNY Intern Program

Since 2012, the Insurance Federation of New York, Inc. (IFNY) has supported* the IFNY Interns Program through generous financial contributions from the IFNY Board, IFNY members, and friends, along with additional support through the hosting of interns.
IFNY, in partnership with Hope Ignites New York (formerly Boys Hope Girls Hope of New York), sponsors a group of high school scholars to participate in the IFNY Internship Program. Hope Ignites New York is an academic achievement and scholarship nonprofit program based in Brooklyn, NY.
Interns spend a day with each sponsoring member company or firm, gaining exposure to industry operations and learning about the business from the ground up. Through this experience, they discover the wide range of opportunities available within the global insurance and financial services sector. Participation in the IFNY Interns Program provides meaningful exposure and serves as a strong incentive as these scholars pursue their academic and career goals.
Hope Ignites New York supports motivated high school students in overcoming disadvantaged backgrounds, with the goal of graduating young people who are physically, emotionally, and academically prepared for post-secondary education and productive lives. The program aims to break barriers and develop community-minded leaders.
The fundraising goal is to help defray the cost of administering the program and to support the tuition expenses of each of the interns at Hope Ignites New York.
